2018 Edith and Ida Chardonnay, Mendocino

Vineyard: The CCOF certified Lolonis Vineyard in Mendocino’s Redwood Valley was planted in 1944 and is one of the oldest Chardonnay plantings in the state. It is well tended and provides plently of habitat for both pollinators and predators alike.

Winemaking: I use natural and traditional winemaking techniques. Racking off the gross lees once, I leave it topped to finish in neutral oak.

Notes: Aromas of delicate white flowers. This wine is light to medium bodied with flavors of stone fruit, citrus peels, pears, and flint.  The finish is balance with medium acidity.

Bottled on August 8th with Origine by Diam 10 corks which use a 100% bio-based polyol, from a renewable source, are coasted with beeswax, and stamped with a heart.
